About

Hampton Roads Tea Party, Inc.

The Hampton Roads Tea Party advocates for a renewal of America’s First Principles -including free markets, limited Constitutional government, limited taxation.  We are supporters of State sovereignty and liberty for all lawful citizens of the United States.

We are open to all patriots who believe that our government belongs to the people.

We believe that for too many years, our government has strayed from the principles on which our nation was founded. When government is out of control, it no longer responds to or respects the people it is supposed to represent.  Just like in 1776, the Tea Party is standing up to say this is wrong.  The rights of the people are to be respected and we aren’t going to stand by doing nothing anymore.

The Tea Party is a movement of concerned citizens who want nothing more than for government to return to the core functions that government, by law, is supposed to provide. We don’t think government should be choosing winners and losers in life, society or in business. Using its power to punish or promote one group, one viewpoint or business, at the expense of another, is simply wrong.  We want true equality for all.

Don’t let what you have heard from others decide for you.  We invite you to come out to visit with your local chapter of the Hampton Roads Tea Party and see for yourself who we are and what we are about. We think you will find that if you are a fair-minded person who loves your country, if you want a better future for your children and grandchildren, and if you believe that the current path our government is on is unsustainable, then we think you will want to join with us and help do something about it.
